St John Home

Room Vacancies

From time to time St John’s Home has room vacancies which we are unable to fill from our waiting list.  Therefore, we feel it would be to both our advantage and the elderly in the local community to draw your attention to the fact.

To better help you understand at St John’s Home any elderly person, regardless of any physically disability, would be given every consideration. Sadly, the one exclusion we have to make is that of mental illness, mainly because of the size and layout of the building.

St John’s Home has cared for the elderly for over one hundred and thirty years here in the Cowley area of Oxford and we feel it would be nice, whenever possible, to offer any vacancies to local people.  We currently find ourselves in an unusual situation with four room vacancies; three single and one double room (suitable for a couple). We also offer respite care whenever possible.

It has been brought to our attention that many of the Oxfordshire Care Managers have never heard of St John’s Home, which seems an awful shame, when we can promise a high standard of care at a reasonable rate.

If you feel that it is time for yourself to move into residential care, or if you know of a relative or friend in this position, please do give us a call.
