This years annual Summer Fete will be held in the grounds of St Johns Home on Saturday 15th July from 11.30am - 3.30pm.
The event is open to the general public as well as our relatives and residents alike. We hope to raise lots of money for our residents activties fund.
We have lots of different things going on throughout the day including the Strawberry Fayre Majorettes who will be performing on the day, they are also recruiting for new members to join their troupe so come along and speak with the group leader Eileen Filer for more information.
We have several Craft Stalls, Toy Stall, Health & Well Being products for sale, Wooden Toy Stall, Card Stall, Preserves and Home Made Jams, Hand Made Jewelery, Old Fashioned Sweet Stand, Ice Cream Van, Art Stall, Knitted Goods, Cushions and Jewelery, Childrens Books, several childrens games including Hook- a Duck, a Childrens Bouncy Castle, Cake Stall a Raffle refreshments and a barbecue as well as the firm favourite with everyone the Bottle Stall!!
We do hope you will come along and support us as you will agree it is for a very worthy cause.

Well what can we say the day started out a little damp and chilly with a slight drizzle of rain but nothing could dampen the spirits of us at St Johns so in true style we soldiered on and lit the barbecue and low and behold the sun made an appearance!
We had a great day and we hope you all did too. we had some amazing prizes this year including Rowse Honey who support us year on year with an amazing honey hamper and also a cash donation. We have had donations from Salters Steamers, Oxofrd Spires Hotel, Randolph Hotel and the De Vere Hotel at Sandford. As well as small local companies donationg gifts of wine, chocolates and food hampers. All to which we are very grateful.
On the day we raised a grand total of £1199.53p which will go a long way towards our residents day trip to Bournemouth next month.
Once again a massive thank you to all who came along and supported us and to those who donated towards our annual event to make it such a success.
