The Home

The Home was built in the 1870′s and is a friendly, rambling  Grade 2 listed building, reminiscent of a Cotswold Manor House. It has a character and atmosphere all of its own, combining the past with the present and future.

It maintains an “olde-worlde”, homely feel that many visitors remark upon. Tradition is a very important to the Home, as we have achieved almost 140 years of giving care at a high standard to all those who have wished to come here. However, we have endeavoured to keep pace with the changing times and legal requirements, using as far as possible up to date techniques, facilities and equipment. As for the future, we have no intention of standing still or falling behind! We are always more than happy to welcome new approaches and ideas and we are constantly looking to improve our standard of care.

The Home has 33 single rooms and 3 double rooms situated over four levels, with lifts to all floors. All areas of the Home and the grounds are fully accessible to the disabled, as is the Convent Chapel.
