The Home is situated in a special Grade 2 listed building steeped in character and history, offering graceful and spacious surroundings for residents.
The Home has 33 single rooms and 3 double rooms situated over four levels, with lifts to all floors. All areas of the Home and the grounds are fully accessible to the disabled, as is the Convent chapel.
We feel that there is a very special and unique atmosphere here at St. John’s and a real mix of residents from those who are very independent to those who require much more assistance with everyday tasks.
We pride ourselves on the way residents are involved in making this a home from home, from how they contribute ideas to running activities themselves and sharing in the lives of fellow residents. We welcome suggestions from residents on all aspects of living at St. John’s Home, we regularly meet with residents and we really engage and listen to what our residents say and need and try to implement suggestions and changes wherever we can.
Friends and family are welcome to visit whenever they wish and can join in with the activities and events, or join residents for lunch and supper.
