Support us by sending a donation:

St. John’s Home is a charity and non-profit making concern and we have a very long history of surviving on a shoe-string! Donations given to the Home are used to enhance the lives of the elderly and elderly frail in our care, and are truly gratefully received and appreciated.

  • By cheque. Please send your cheque to us at St. John's Home, St. Mary's Road, Oxford, OX4 1QE.
  • Don't forget to Gift Aid your donations. If you pay either income or capital gains tax, you can now make your gift worth 25 pence more for every £1 that you donate. Simply fill in the Gift Aid Declaration on our Gift Aid Form.

An increasing number of us will need care as we grow old. Although there is of course basic statutory provision, we at St. John’s are determined to ensure that we can provide much more in terms of activities, environment and pastoral care. To enable us to do all that we can for our residents, we need your help in the form of gift aid donations and legacies. Making a will gives you the assurance of knowing what arrangements will be made after your death and who will benefit from your legacy. It also means that if you want to leave some money for a special purpose—such as helping St. John’s—you can do so with ease.

There are other ways you can provide support or help us:

  • Why not become a Volunteer Befriender and spend time with our residents: If you can spare just one hour a month or one hour a week, and would like to spend time with our residents, we would love to hear from you. Your friendship could make a real difference to the life of one of our residents, and many firm friendships have been formed in the past. Click here for more information.
